Care & Lifestyle
As part of your care and lifestyle here at Chronos Care, we provide the following services to you.
Our physiotherapist will assess you when you move to the facility and make ongoing assessments regarding physiotherapy services. Physiotherapists are on site 4 days a week.
We have a podiatrist that comes to the facility every 6 weeks.
A consultant dietician reviews all our menu plans and is available monthly for consultations.
We have dedicated GP’s across all our sites, who visit on a regular basis and are always a phone call away. Alternatively, we are able to arrange a doctor of your choice.
We also have services in place for dental, optometry, speech pathology, and local hospital outreach services.
In our Lifestyle department we have dedicated staff to ensure our lifestyle program is tailored to meet the group and individual needs of our residents. This ranges from arranging volunteers to have one on one chats, going on bus excursions, joining in with craft or activities of your choice. There is a wide array of opportunities out in the garden with the gardener or volunteer.
The list is endless, and we endeavour to find something for everyone.
Meals
At Chronos Care we strive for excellence in our food and have been complimented on many occasions. All meals are prepared and cooked on site. Summer sees the BBQ being fired up and Residents and staff alike having a wonderful time together.
All families and friends are invited to join their loved ones for a meal at any time. There is a small charge, and we ask for a days’ notice, to ensure a table is set for you.
We encourage residents to join us in the dining room for meals and social interaction, but you may choose to have meals in your room.
We enjoy having family help celebrate birthdays with us, again we just require a days’ notice.
Cleaning / Laundry
Chronos Care have cleaning staff on site 7 days a week, to ensure the facility is kept fresh. All rooms are detailed weekly, and bathrooms cleaned daily (Monday to Friday).
All laundry is done on site, and we ask that all clothes are clearly labelled.
Maintenance
Chronos Care employs a Maintenance Manager to ensure all equipment is in working order. He is also on hand to hang up any pictures you may want in your room.
Telephone / Internet
All rooms within Chronos Care have telephone connections and internet can be installed upon request.
Visitors
Chronos Care encourages visitors. You are always welcome. If it is appropriate, we also encourage you to take Residents out for the day, lunch or some social leave.
